One of the best things about being a Devon based wedding photographer is the variety of incredible landscapes, settings and wedding venues that we have here. Aside from the gorgeous beaches and countryside venues, we have the wilds of Dartmoor. This epic landscape attracts adventurous couples and Jo & Andy were no exception. They chose to get married at Neadon Barn on Dartmoor as the famous Devon moors have been the backdrop of many of their adventures together as a couple. They even dedicated a Dartmoor theme to their wedding day, naming every table after a different Tor, with a map of Dartmoor as a guide.

Their wedding day started off at home in Ivybridge and then we went onto the local church. After their wedding ceremony, the couple shared a selection of tea & cakes with their wedding guests before heading off to the wedding venue in their fabulous turquoise VW camper van. I followed them and we stopped off at Hay Tor on Dartmoor for some wedding photographs. This was an incredibly atmospheric setting. It’s always great to be able to stop off on route to a slightly wilder setting if the schedule allows. It was well worth it and made for some great images. The couple have such a love for Dartmoor, so they got some extra special Devon wedding photos.

Neadon Farm is a gorgeous venue and they were lucky with the weather too. When we arrived guests were enjoying the beautiful gardens, with their colourful display of spring flowers. The barn at Neadon is quite dark and always lit by candles, which creates a lovely atmosphere. I especially enjoyed all the creative touches, added by the couple, which showed their unique connection to this place. A wonderful Devon wedding! Congratulations again to Jo & Andy who are now coming up their first wedding anniversary!
