b) We only use cookies on our contact form. These are used in order to save information that the user has submitted via the form. This data is collected in case of any technical problems eg – corruption of the form so that we can get back to you.

c) We process your personal data when dealing with enquiries. Our contact form requires information from you in order for us to get back to you regarding your enquiry. This includes collecting your email address and can include a telephone number. This data is gathered from you in order to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for this processing is consent, we are taking steps, at your request, to provide information about our availability andservices. This data is processed in order to provide you with a service and to aid our communication with you. We may disclose your contact details to our suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary to deliver sub-contracted services or product orders. e) Under GDPR legislation a photograph can be classed as data in some instances. Wedding clients & guests are photographed on the basis of “legitimate interests” in order to create a visual record of the wedding day. Photographs taken for journalistic purposes are exempt from data protection in order to “protect freedom of expression in journalism, art and literature (which are known as the ‘special purposes’)” Projects and commissions undertaken on this basis are exempt only for the purpose of journalism and art with a view to publication. Images will only be published online and in print with prior written consent.

f) You acknowledge that personal data that you submit for publication through our website or services may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such personal data by others.

Storing your personal data

a) We store image files of past weddings, events, projects etc. These files serve as a back-up in case of loss of data. Your information is also retained in relation to these image files so that we can contact you / you can contact us in the future. The legal basis for this storing this data is consent. This data can be deleted on request.

All other data – names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses etc are safely stored on a password protected MacBook.

Your rights

a) You have the right to withdraw the consent for the display of your images at any time. This withdrawal of consent extends to anyone depicted in the images.

b) You have the right to withdraw the consent for the storage of your data at any time.

c) You have the right to request your personal data record from Emma Stoner Photography at any time.
