Marine Theatre Lyme Regis Wedding Photographer.

I have gorgeous, colourful sea-themed wedding to share with you today! Kelley & Julian were married on the Dorset coast in the picturesque town of Lyme Regis. This isn’t far from where I am based in Devon and is such a quirky and unique place to explore, popular with fossil hunters as it’s situated within the heart of the Jurassic Coast. Their wedding venue was the Marine Theatre which overlooks the sea. It’s a gorgeous venue, with a lot of character & history. It was originally opened in 1806 as sea water baths and has been a theatre for 125 years. The church is a 5 minute walk from the theatre so it’s perfect for weddings.

I met Kelley in the morning of her wedding day in a beautiful townhouse, where the couple were staying with friends and family for a few days. There was a lot of hustle & bustle in the house as friends prepared last minute details for the day, arranged flowers and got ready together. It was a lovely atmosphere as everyone prepared for the exciting day ahead! One benefit of this venue was that it was easy access on foot from the centre of town. A short stroll took us to the church and then from there we headed downhill (with incredible views) to the Marine Theatre. One of the best things about this venue is that you are right in the centre of things and also beside the seaside. It has a lovely blend of nature & culture. Kelley & Julian had their drinks reception outside and guests enjoyed the incredible views out to the seaside throughout the day & into the evening. Dining was followed by ceildhd dancing and lots of fun was had by all. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this joyful day and was smiling all the way home to Devon 🙂
