Happy New Year folks!
2019.. Wow, what a year! It was certainly very eventful for us. A time of new beginnings, creativity, friendship & adventure. It’s fair to say that I might have overdone it a bit this year, packing in a lot of action into an already busy schedule.
The year started well as I received ‘Highly Commended’ in the South West Wedding Awards. It was a lovely surprise, so a thankyou again to all my couples for voting. I didn’t enter again this year as autumn got too busy but it was a fab experience.
Lila started school this year! We also went on her first big adventure abroad to NYC and Canada to visit friends & family. We caught the last of the winter snow in Toronto, learnt about Maple Syrup making and I connected with my Uncle Ian, an ecologist who manages a forest in Ontario. It was inspiring stuff and I started researching woodlands in the UK and working on several photographic projects.
I started an MA myself later this year, studying Documentary Photography at University of the Arts, London. You might notice a few project images amongst the weddings in this selection – ancient woodlands, farmers, eco warriors and hedgehogs! I also took pictures again for Glastonbury Festival this year.
My 2019 weddings were phenomenal.. they took me from the Eden Project, to rustic Dartmoor, to seaside tipis, festival barns, family farms, woodland clearings and even as far as Leicester for a two part Muslim celebration. It was really a lot of fun and I made some lovely new friends in the process. It’s quite a blessing to be a wedding photographer in Devon with all of the stunning scenery & venues. To all of my 2019 B&G’s – it was awesome so thankyou very much for having me along 🙂
I hope you enjoy all of these pictures… I’m super excited to blog these stunning weddings in full so watch this space as I’ll be blogging all of January.
Have a fab new year and a wonderful decade. I look forward to meeting more of you lovely peeps in 2020!
