If you are a fan of autumn weddings then you will love Taylor & Tim’s intimate wedding, held at Pengersick Castle in October 2021. The castle itself is so brooding and atmospheric, it’s a perfect match for this season.
Inside the dark stone walls of this characterful castle, the rooms are lit by candles. Paintings on the wall depict Pengersick Castle as far back as Medieval times (it was built in 1510). I love the fact it is small and intimate, the perfect setting for an elopement style wedding.
Taylor & Tim had a candlelit ceremony (how romantic!) in the main room of this little castle. They were joined by friends & family and Tim included a photo of his Dad, who sadly passed away and couldn’t be there. Taylor is from the US and her family had travelled over for the wedding. I imagine they loved this charming little setting, so unique to the British Isles. This wedding day had been long awaited for the happy couple, having had a long distance relationship during the pandemic. It was wonderful to be there and to share their special day.
If you like this wedding and are planning an autumn / winter elopement in Cornwall, then you may enjoy this Wild Celtic winter elopement styled shoot from West Cornwall. You can see it here
Also, check out a fabulous Steam Punk styled shoot that I did in this castle, back in 2016 here
