Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to 2023. I wanted to write a post to introduce you all to my family photography, which is a service that I have offered over my years of being a Devon wedding photographer. I have now finally put together a page dedicated to family photography for all of you out there who are wondering if I do it and how much it costs. As you can see a lot of these shoots are location shoots. Like my wedding photography, my family photos also have a nature vibe 🙂 People often come to me if they are taking a holiday in Devon and staying locally to Totnes. Often they have a special place in Devon, a beach which they visit regularly or somewhere that has some meaning. I’m always up for an adventure shoot! I also find that little ones are often more relaxed in a natural, outdoors environment where they can play. A mixture of home & the outdoors makes for a good variety of portraits.

During the past 7 years living in Devon I have photographed forest schools, community family events, festivals and nature based playgrounds as well as family & wedding photography. This has often been with a little one in tow myself! For example – when my daughter was two I was commissioned by Glastonbury Festivals to photograph the kids activities in Glastonbury. I learned that the best child portraits often happen when you take a backseat and let the kids lead the way. Asking a child to pose can often really ruin the moment and makes them super aware of the camera. My favourite photos of my daughter Lila are when she is in her element – caught in the moment and unawares! This gallery should give you a flavour and you can see a wider portfolio here
