Wedding Photographer Devon | 2022 in Pictures
Wedding Photographer Devon.
Happy New Year to everyone and welcome 2023! I always love this time of year – a clean slate to start afresh and make some aspirations for the coming months. Do you have any New Year’s resolutions / intentions? Mine include nailing that routine (even in the school holidays!) and certainly right now burning off a few of those Christmas chocolates!!
2022 was a year full of surprises. It was jam-packed full of weddings. I met so many lovely couples and shared so many special moments. My wedding photography took me all over Devon to Cornwall, Somerset and even to Wales for a magical Medieval style wedding on a family farm. Each wedding was so special and unique and full of creative touches. I always feel so lucky to be there. Aside from capturing the people, moments and special touches at a wedding, I love observing the seasons – capturing the winter light and bare branches, the first buds of spring, the flowers of summer and the deep warm hues of autumn. In this set of photos I’ve also included some observations from the hedgerow, documenting the shifting flora & fauna throughout the year.
Aside from all of the amazing weddings that I have photographed, 2022 was the year that I worked on my first cookbook project. It was the start of a wonderful collaboration with sweet baker Sarah Raisebeck. The book features photos of Sarah’s delicious bakes, alongside lifestyle photography documenting Sarah’s natural approach to living. We starting shooting the project in March and it was published by September! Thanks to Sarah for her passion, energy and vision for achieving this. I think we make a great team 🙂 Here is a link to read more about the book, which comes with an endorsement by Guy Singh-Watson, Founder of Riverford Farm;
‘This book is brilliant. I find Sarah’s natural approach to her lifestyle super inspiring’ – https://www.sarahraisbeck.co.uk/natural-sweet-bakes-book
Other 2022 highlights included, relaunching my wedding photography website, with a brand new design by PNB Web Design (thanks guys!). Organising a ‘My Glastonbury Story‘ exhibition at Marston Park in Frome and getting a kitten called Wizard!
I hope you enjoy these images and that you all have a wonderful start to 2023!
