For all those of you suffering with the winter blues – here is a beautiful belthane handfasting / spring wedding to enjoy, full of wild flowers & sunshine!

Johanna & Michael’s wanted a relaxed and natural feel for their day. They chose a tipi, provided by Tipi Spaces, because it provided a lot of light and a lovely backdrop to the day. The couple exchanged their vows in an orchard full of blossom trees, with guests sat on haystacks – including 50 children!! The orchard is opposite the bride and groom’s house in Bickleigh, and they specifically planned the wedding to coincide with the spring blossom

After their pagan-style handfasting, the kids enjoyed a treasure hunt through a bluebell wood and a bouncy castle, whilst the adults played tug of war and a traditional viking games!
