Kat & Tom | Family Farm Wedding Photography
If you like farm weddings then you are going to LOVE Kat & Tom’s family farm shindig! This was one awesome wedding party with bouncy castles, rolling stones ice cream, a funky assortment of fashion styles, heaps of food and a huge bonfire.
The wedding party was held at Tom’s parents house in Sigford, Devon and it was a real family affair. I was happy to spot a couple of old school-friends too, Tom cousin Emily and her husband Bevan with their two kids. All hands were literally on deck to help pull the day together. When I arrived people were cooking, crafting, shifting haybales, decorating trees and all sorts! Kat is an art teacher and she really brought her creativity to the day. Her wedding dress was dipped in blue dye to create an ombre effect… she did it herself too the brave lady!! It looked awesome. This was matched with blue details on her shoes, flowers and the wedding cake was also blue ombre. Of course, Tom matched the colour scheme too, sporting a super-cool turquoise Hawaiian suit for the day.
This wedding was so much FUN! There were so many happy people, the kids especially as there were bouncy castles & lots of ice cream!! Kiddie heaven. It was great to see the teamwork and how it all came together beautifully for the couple. I loved Kat’s colourful details and bubbly nature – she looked awesome too!!
I’ve included some images from the day before, when Kat & Tom had their legal ceremony at Larkbeare House in Exeter. Instead of an engagement shoot they opted for a couple of hours coverage of the proceedings. It was brilliant – Kat totally cracked up whilst reading her vows. One of the best wedding moments ever! We then had a lovely walk along the river and a few city photos.
I thoroughly I enjoyed hanging out with these newlyweds and their family & friends. It was a brilliant 24 hours and real down-to-earth family fun. I wish them every happiness, sparkles & sunflowers!
