If you want to bring the magic of woodland to your wedding day then read on! Hannah & Lawrence held their woodland wedding at Great Wood Camp in the Quantock Hills AONB of Somerset. This is a special place to them both as Lawrence (Loz) used to work there and Hannah spent family holidays running wild in the forest.

“Great wood was always a special place for both Loz and I, it is such a calming joyful area and both of us have always loved to be in the Woods. When I was little my parents would take us to Great wood in the summer for barbecues with friends and we would play in the woods for hours. Loz actually worked at the camp at Great wood overseeing the stay of various school groups and he enjoyed his time working there thoroughly, he has such fond memories of that time working in the woods all summer”

Once they found the perfect setting Hannah & Loz went to town on all the magical details – frosted fern biscuits, a woodland themed wedding cake with deer, a green campervan, handmade woodland stationary & Hannah (a dress designer by trade) designed and made her very own wedding dress! The result is an absolutely stunning design covered in sparkly little leaves. “I knew I wanted a detailed lace which would reflect the natural element of the woodlands. We were also desperately hoping for sunshine on our wedding day in July so I added a layer of sparkling tulle under the lace to catch sunlight when I moved”

Along with the gorgeous dress, Hannah & her bridesmaids wore woodland flowers in their hair. Hannah had one special bridesmaid, her dog Nina, who wore a collar of flowers to match the bouquets! What an incredible woodland bouquet Hannah had herself too, created by Floral Creativity. It really captures the wild woodland wedding theme so beautifully.
