Geetie & Guy Singh Watson | Passion & Principles
Geetie & Guy Singh Watson ‘Passion & Principles’ An eco love-story for the new year.
A couple of months ago I photographed ethical entrepreneurs, Geetie & Guy Singh Watson for Country Homes and Interiors Magazine. Both are pioneers in organic food, Geetie founded The Duke of Cambridge – the world’s first organic pub – and her husband, Guy is the founder of Riverford Organic Farm.
I captured the couple at home at Baddaford Farm. This 150 acre farm is now home to six land based ethical businesses. The veg supplies both Riverford and The Bull, Geetie’s organic, landmark restaurant in Totnes.
It was lovely hanging out with them both and capturing their love story amongst the veggies. This week the article “Our work is all about love” was published in the latest edition of the magazine.
“Our aim is to prove that small, scale ethical farming can be successful and profitable – it’s a way of working and trading that we wholeheartedly believe in. As our mission statement says: We want to make this small part of the world more like the world we want to live in. Baddaford is the love story that Guy & I share together now.”
If you are inspired by this love story and planning an eco wedding then I would love to hear from you. Before becoming a wedding photographer I worked in the photo-department at Greenpeace International. Nowadays I work on environmental photo-stories, and I also freelance for various eco and ethical companies. Just recently I started freelancing for Riverford, capturing stories from their organic farms for their new magazine Veg & Table.
Please check out my page on weddings at River Cottage, one of Devon’s most famous eco venues. I look forward to hearing from you!
