If you love colourful, alternative, boho style weddings then this one is for you! Stephanie & Chris had a Buddhist wedding last July at Yurt Camp here in Devon. Yurt Camp is a very laid back venue with hippie vibes, perfect for this barefoot couple from Totnes. It was an absolutely stunning day, with a nature theme, Buddhist decor and a fabulous cake by Sarah Raisbeck.

Stephanie & Chris met at Buddhafield and connected on their spiritual path, so a Buddhist ceremony was the perfect way to tie the knot. The ceremony space was outdoors and beautifully decorated by Stephanie’s friends. It included an alter, with a little Buddha, dried flowers, petals and prayer flags. The ceremony itself was a down to earth hand-fasting with songs and readings by their friends. In keeping with the Buddhist way, the space for dining had a nature theme, with each table named after a different tree and wildflowers adorning the tables. The couple’s friends also created bunting and even an incredible head-dress for Stephanie to wear on the day. This was made by Olivia Tarpey, check out more of her stunning designs here.

This wedding was a colourful, family friendly shindig with so much love & magic in the air it was infectious. At the end of the day I was buzzing. I went home wearing a flashing neon flower crown & feathers in my hair, which my boyfriend found hilarious! Great to be a part of it as ever!! 🤩
