Elena & Simon live in Totnes and they have a daughter not much younger than my little one, so it was especially lovely to share their big day 🙂 Although she had a few teething troubles on the day, Evi was full of smiles for Mummy and Daddy’s wedding!
The venue that they chose was super-amazing both in style and ethos. Ash Farm Rescue centre is a sanctuary for retired horses, so all the profit for the weddings here go to caring for the animals and nature conservation. There is lots of beautiful green space, lovely gardens and wildflower fields. The gazebo that Elena & Simon had their ceremony in is a beautiful wooden, handcrafted structure which wouldn’t be out of place in a Tolkien novel! So unique and wonderful. After exchanging vows the couple had drinks in the pretty flower garden before heading to the marquee for fun & games. Luckily, the sun was shining all day so it was the perfect setting for an outdoor, festival style wedding. Guests played games and enjoyed a relaxed bbq buffet on haystacks in the sunshine. Later on, music & dancing with Bill Ding and the Skyscrapers!
