Higher Eggbeer Wedding Photography | Ruby & Matt
Higher Eggbeer Wedding Photography.
Over the past 10 years I have worked as a wedding photographer at so many incredible wedding venues in Devon. It’s always lovely to find a new favourite and eco-friendly Higher Eggbeer is one from 2026 to add to that list! If you imagine a dark & brooding country estate full of rustic charm, historical character (the buildings date from 976!) full of light & shadow, with stunning views of Dartmoor to top it off. That was the setting for Ruby & Matt’s August ’26 wedding.
The couple got married at the end of August, over the bank holiday weekend. After such a long, hot summer this was a time when summer was gently drawing in and you could feel autumn just around the corner. Grey clouds hung in the skies and rain splattered across the window panes of the cob houses & barns. It felt perfectly atmospheric. Twinkling lights dressed both the barns, added to the charm and warm hygge vibes of the day.
After a cosy wedding ceremony everyone gathered outside for canapes and enjoyed a snippet of sunshine before the wind & rain hit. We got the group photo just in time! This was one emotional day and Ruby & Matt were so lovely, it was a real joy to be there and capture it all, especially in such a beautiful setting.
“We recently received our wedding photo gallery and WOW Emma has blown us away with the gorgeous photos of our special day… Emma’s experience showed when she always found the best spots in the venue for the lighting and contrast. We feel so grateful to have our day documented so beautifully, for us to look back over for years to come.”
