Devon Wedding Photographer - Emma Stoner Wedding Photography

Imagine your wedding venue being a tipi on your favourite Devon beach… how amazing would that be?! Erica & Will managed to organise just that for their incredible Beesands beach wedding.

The groom, Will, has a family connection to Beesands. His parents own one of the local houses and a bench was even erected in honour of his grandfather when he passed away (we had to get pics here of course!). It’s a really special place for the couple, as well as being an amazing beauty spot and the perfect location for their outdoor wedding.

They were super lucky to get permission as this was the FIRST EVER Beesands Beach wedding (hence the surprised looking tourists!!). Back in March, things took a turn for the worse too, with some of the road to Beesands being destroyed in Storm Emma… luckily, again, everything got repaired just in time and the sunshine shone all day for this fortunate pair.

They wanted a really relaxed day and decided to go festival-style with this gorgeous tipi. Will got very creative and hands on with the styling… I’m loving his painted pebbles with guests names and pebbles jars… crafted with stones from the beach of course. The blue & yellow palette looked stunning with the surrounding natural colours. The grass was all dried up from the heatwave and looked more like hay and the sea was a shimmering shades of blue all day.

I had so much fun at this wedding… it was totally my dream day too! Erica & Will were great company and when I left it seemed like the party was only just beginning… The tipi colourful & twinkling under the summer stars.
