Are you planning to breastfeed at your wedding? Or wondering how to manage the day without breastfeeding? I’m a breastfeeding Mum myself so I know well the challenges of looking after a young child and sometimes only the breast will do! Take some inspiration from this proud Mum, Elena who advocates nursing your little one on your big day.
“On our wedding day, Evie was teething and poorly so she couldn’t cope very well with the teething pain. She went back to 100 % breastfeeds. I think the day and week leading up to the wedding was pretty intense as well, she needed a bit of calm and a breastfeed is amazing for that. It was quite nice for me as well to have a moment away! Sometimes I think there’s a bit of misinformation about how easy it is to switch off from breastfeeding and express and bottle feed when breastfeeding isn’t convenient. I felt a bit misinformed anyway, I feel like breastfeeding is so much easier than expressing and trying to force a bottle on a reluctant baby, even on your wedding day ????”
Elena was more than happy to share these beautiful breastfeeding pictures of her and Evie on her wedding day. I think it’s really important to get real images of breastfeeding out there. Nursing our babies this way is the most natural thing in the world and and great source of comfort and sustenance for them. Go for it Mum’s even if it is your wedding day – your baby will enjoy the day so much more!
