Devon is a brilliant place for adventure, and it’s where many couples create some of their most meaningful memories. That was certainly true for Kate & Rich, who chose to weave their love of the great outdoors into every part of their wedding celebration. East Soar Farm was the perfect setting, with its coastal location, relaxed atmosphere, and stunning outdoor ceremony space overlooking the sea.

I joined Kate & Rich the day before their main wedding celebration for their legal ceremony, followed by a paddle board session at Hope Cove — all while still in their wedding outfits! It was such a fun, laid-back way to kick off the celebrations and perfectly reflected their adventurous spirit.

The following day began with a Park Run along Bolberry Down, joined by friends and family. Before guests arrived at the venue, we made the most of the quiet morning and headed out along the headland surrounding East Soar Farm to scout out some epic photo spots. This is something there’s rarely time for on a wedding day, and it was such a treat. The clifftops offered sweeping views across Salcombe and the surrounding beaches, making for some truly special portraits.

Kate & Rich’s ceremony took place outdoors, with the ocean as their backdrop. Afterwards, guests enjoyed drinks outside in the sunshine before heading into the barn for dinner and speeches. The day ended on a real high, with a beautiful sunset over the coastline — the perfect ending to an unforgettable celebration.
