Wedding Photographer Devon & South West | 2025 in Pictures
Wedding Photographer Devon & South West.
If there was one word to describe 2025 for me it would be busy — the fullest kind. A year where seeds planted quietly over time seemed to ripen all at once. Unexpectedly busy, demanding, yet affirming, inspiring and exciting at the same time. As a wedding photographer in Devon, this year marked something of a turning point. Ten years of photographing weddings in this landscape, the coastlines, farms, moors and meadows, and it felt like a true milestone. In 2025 I photographed more weddings than ever before, from the first green stirrings of spring at Brympton House in March to the candlelit warmth of a late-November celebration at Glebe House.
It’s been great working with so many lovely people this year. Weddings are always so full of joy that it keeps me buzzing! Working with people at moments of connection and ritual is a privilege I never take for granted — and it’s made all the richer by sharing those days with so many generous, wonderful souls.
Alongside wedding photography, I’ve worked on some amazing projects this year with Riverford for their magazine Veg & Table, This Girl Can, English Heritage, The Guardian, Pipers Farm and Waitrose to name a few. It was also an honour to win the World Food Photography Awards – Wedding Food Photographer category, and to be shortlisted in the Portrait of Britain Awards.
My practice is deeply rooted in the turning of the year, I love capturing the seasons throughout the year and watching the year unfold in these yearly collections. You’ll find each season’s story below. I’ve woven a few of my commissioned images through this gallery too as they give you a deeper sense of what my photography is about – people & place, land, seasons, community & belonging.
SPRING ’25
Wedding photography stories from Devon this season include; a beautiful day at River Cottage with the apple trees in full blossom, a Hindu wedding at Kingston Estate, a coastal church wedding in Dartmouth with Outlander star Nell Hudson, an English garden style Maypole wedding at The Grain Store and a rainy sea-shanty wedding at Cliff House in Salcombe.
SUMMER ’25
Summer in Devon never disappoints. This season unfolded with a beach wedding at Gara Rock, a Swedish midsummer celebration at Clifford Barton, Dartmoor weddings framed by wild, open landscapes, misty gatherings at East Soar Farm, celebrations at the beautiful Hayne, a meadow wedding at Whitemoor Farm with all the charm of an English garden party, and a relaxed, bohemian day at Battlesford Farm.
AUTUMN ’25
Autumn arrived with energy. The season began on the autumn equinox with a blustery wedding at The Grain Store, complete with a chilly pre-ceremony sea dip for guests. I then spent a golden day with Claudia & Ben at Hestercombe, wandering gardens and apple orchards at their peak. Further apple adventures took me to The Hillyfield for apple day and capturing the family orchards for Bens Farm Shop. October weddings included, a stormy wedding day at Lavender House on Dartmoor, a Totnes wedding with a ramble around the castle and Dartington Gardens in their autumn splendour and a candlelit wedding at St Petrox Church.
WINTER ’25
Winter weddings this year include, the first wedding of the year at Brympton House, with glorious open fires and daffs appearing amongst winter trees. Then I joined Sophia & Max at The Bull in Totnes, for a day centred around organic food and shared tables. The last wedding of 2025 took me to Glebe House in Southleigh, Devon. This is a stunning venue, full of homely charm and incredible interiors! One to revisit again for a special occasion.
I’m looking forward to seeing where 2026 takes me. Its heralded at the year when analogue photography is making a come back. I’ve already had several booking for film photography for next year, so I’m excited to be including a bit of medium format in the mix next year. Get in touch to find out more about my film photography packages.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and best wishes for 2026!
