This is one gorgeous wedding! Harriet & Matthew were wed at Purton House in Wiltshire last July, just as the covid restrictions were starting to lift again. I totally fell in love with this beautiful venue with it’s homely, rustic vibes and colourful shabby chic rooms with country views. Purton House is a Georgian home, with home being the operative word! It’s family owned and you feel very much at home here, it’s the perfect venue for a couple who want something stylish but not ostentatious.
Harriet & Matthew couple opted for an outdoor ceremony beside the lake. It was a lovely setting, with swans passing by intermittently as vows were exchanged. Reception drinks were enjoyed on the lawn and then guests made their way to the orchard for an alfresco dining experience. The couple originally planned to wed in Italy and wanted to bring some Mediterranean traditions to their day. It was such a great idea! Luckily the weather was perfect as the outdoor celebrations continued. People weren’t yet allowed to gather inside so the wedding band played out of the large ballroom windows! Guest danced on the lawn whilst the sun went down over this very beautiful setting.
