Gypsy inspired bridal shoot
Yesterday I shot my first ever bridal shoot – check out pics below! The venue was Cornish Tipi Weddings – a gorgeous bohemian dream with tipis, woods and a lake… loads of outside space and nature all around (http://www.cornishtipiweddings.co.uk/). I’ve been lusting after this venue since I started my journey as a wedding photographer in 2011. When Lizzie at the venue suggested a shoot my first thought was to have a gypsy theme, taking in the various elements of the venue. I wanted to capture the camping fields, woods and lake – raw nature at it’s finest. To go with the nature theme I found the perfect bridal dress supplier – A Little Bird Said – http://www.alittlebirdsaid.co.uk. Andrea recycles vintage dresses to create bohemian gypsy styled wedding gowns – absolutely perfect for what I had in mind. As soon as I saw a picture of my model for the day – Willow – I knew she would be the perfect person to complete the look. Willow was amazing!! She bought so much to the shoot and I can’t thank her enough. She totally got my vision and styled the look completely herself as she also works as a hair and make-up artist. Her hair looked great on the day and she added so many gorgeous touches – feathers, jewellery and flower clips she created. Ever resourceful, she also found the perfect man for the shoot! Read more about Willow here – http://www.willowdelaroche.co.uk/. At the very last minute I enquired about a horse for the day and Willow really encouraged the idea. I’m so glad we did it! Molly was also an amazing and gorgeous model for the day – brought to us by Kenny who was incredibly patient and lovely company. Thanks also to Kim from Cornish Tipi Weddings who was such a star on the day and Penny from Riverford Organic Farm who foraged for wildflowers for us to give the bouquet a totally authentic look. I hope the pics capture the essence of the bohemian lifestyle.
