Amy & Dan’s autumn wedding was held at Monks Withecombe in Dartmoor on September 17th. The wedding was a true Dartmoor adventure with highlights including – wild swimming, African Drumming, a ceilidh and toasted marshmallows on the fire! Wild swimming was the first call of the day as Dan and the boys headed out to a nearby river for a quick dip. Meanwhile, Amy enjoyed the rustic charm of a nearby country cottage. Her mum was busy crafting the bridal bouquet, whilst the girls enjoyed champagne in the sunshine before heading to the venue.
After the ceremony Amy surprised her new husband with an African drumming band who kept everyone entertained! After such an incredible performance there was barely any time for outdoor games before everyone settled down for food. Inside the marquee, the couple had gone for nature-inspired decor with tables named after animals and green hanging bouquets. Amazingly, everything was handmade and sourced locally, including the bridal bouquet. This was perfect for a Dartmoor Wedding as it gave the wedding a really authentic, down to earth and quite celtic feel. Later, they got even more celtic with a traditional ceilidh, which got everyone up on the dance floor! As night fell, the full moon shone brightly and people gathered around a fire to toast marshmallows and the happy couple.
