And yes Stoner is my real name!! But don’t worry I’m not the smoking kind!
The good thing is I’m pretty chilled out so you don’t need to worry if you hate having your picture taken. You will forget I am there after a while and you can relax and enjoy your big day. But are you in safe hands?! YES! I’ve been shooting weddings for over 7 years now and have been working in photography since I graduated from my Photographic Arts BA in 2005. I’ve been published on most national wedding blogs and in most national newspapers too. In fact, I recently got listed as one of the 50 Best Alternative UK Wedding Suppliers in the UK!
I’m not a ‘stoner’ but I am a real hippy – my credentials? They include working for Greenpeace, travelling around various parts of Asia with a backpack, hugging trees, reading beatnik poetry, eating lots of lentils and listening to too much music from the 1960’s.
I offer alternative wedding photography for fun & free-spirited couples… quirky, original and unique weddings are always welcome! Any eco-warriors out there will also be pleased to hear that eco-friendly albums are available to order. I’d love to hear more about you so please get in touch…
When I was a child I would pour through my Dad’s old copies of National Geographic and dream that one day I would be a photographer and travel the world. My work has taken me on lots of global adventures and I still take inspiration from those pages (yes – I still have those magazines!) and from the great photojournalists of our time. You can’t beat a good story and a wedding is such a beautiful story to tell. My documentary style captures all the little details of your day, the emotion, the setting and those decisive moments.
“Photography is not like painting. There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative. Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever” Henri Cartier Bresson

Here I am with my little girl Lila, pictured at one of my favourite beaches in Devon, Bantham. We were photographed by the lovely Emma at Freckle Photography
If we are not exploring the great outdoors – beaches, farms, wild swimming spots and stone circles, then you will find me editing your wedding photos with a cup of tea and Radio 4. I love nature in all it’s forms and have a huge respect for this crazy planet we live on. My work is nature-inspired and my wedding photography services have a green ethos – I have albums and frames that are eco-friendly and handmade in the UK.
